Portrait Photography.

Abi’s family portrait photography!

Abi contacted me for family portrait photography while she was visiting from Miami, Florida for a week in January to meet old and new family members. It is so important to produce this sort of portrait photography, especially when a family is so spread out like Abi’s are! I arrived after a snowy, Icy week and slid around until I found their house in Moseley, Birmingham. I set up inside as it was far too cold outside, although the sun was booming!

My portrait style is as natural as possible, I don’t turn up with backdrops or lighting, its just me, my camera and a plethora of lenses that help me do my job. Personally I don’t like images too contrived, I want my subjects to be as relaxed as possible infront of the camera and certainly not nervous! After about 10 minutes usually we all build up a rapport and I just get carried away taking lots and lots of pics!

It was so lovely to meet Abi and her gorgeous family, who have now returned to sunny Miami (I’m not jealous at all!) plus the extended family! And I am so grateful that they asked me to take their family portraits for them 🙂
