Goli & Garry wedding 22nd June 2013

Goli and Garry got married at Alrewas Hayes exclusive country house near Lichfield. I was really looking forward to this wedding (not that I don’t look forward to all of my weddings of course!)
I arranged their Pre wedding photoshoot for April in Lichfield, as I hoped the lovely spring weather might have kicked in by then. Although it was still a bit chilly, it was dry and we had a very successful shoot! They were great in front of the camera, really natural and we got some fab shots!

I had been doing my sun dance for their wedding day and it seemed to pay off…sort of! When we first arrived (Debi, who was assisting!) it was a little bit overcast but reasonably warm. We went to meet the girls and get some preparation photo’s. They were already starting to look glam! Goli was getting her makeup applied and everyone was pretty relaxed. The hotel room at the venue was beautiful with exposed beams, perfect for a lovely dress shot and what a stunning dress! Finished off perfectly of course with a gorgeous pair of Jimmy Choo’s! My favourite 🙂

The boys arrived about an hour later and I went down to meet them and grab some boy pics while Debi remained with the girls to get the all important getting into the gown shots!

The ceremony was also a relaxed affair and the weather was still on our side when we emerged into the beautiful gardens for the all important family photos. The sun even came out for us! Then we took our newly married bride and groom away for their private photo’s.

The reception marquee was beautifully decorated and the table centres sported chalk boards with disney characters drawn for each table by the Groom himself, and favours of apples and oranges. It was such a lovely touch and really personal to the couple. They also had a cheese cake, as in, a cake made of various types of cheeses with figs and grapes around and a great little vintage sweet table.

The heavens opened while the speeches were being given which was fine by us! It absolutely tipped it down, I was so pleased that we managed to get our photo’s done outdoors!

The groom introduced a guitar act who were friends of the bride and groom and they did a set which everyone enjoyed and got people up singing along especially when ‘Don’t look back in anger’ was played!
I have never seen a dance floor fill up quite so quickly after the 1st dance, I think every single person in the marquee must have jumped on it as soon as they could! Then the incredible belly dancer did her show, during which I could just tell everyone was itching to get back out there and join in! Which they did and it was brilliant to see everyone getting involved. The Iranian music was definitely a dance floor winner and everyone was busting some serious moves, especially Goli’s dad! I had to stop myself from getting up there too, it was infectious!

Debi and I had a wonderful day with everyone and I hope you guys had an amazing honeymoon!
